Why I Love Superheroes

To be perfectly honest, when I was little I just really enjoyed the attire… photo Who says that it’s not appropriate daily-wear?! I was also a power ranger from time to time. Hopefully that’s more cute than it is embarrassing, although my poor Mother may not agree… or the nice people at Sainbury’s. Now I study the artwork and draw them a lot, especially for other people who share my love. I now have quite a vast selection of birthday cards and drawings, here are a few! Colour aside, you can get so many elements across with confident line-work: texture, lighting, form and motion. I feel like producing work in that style is now reflected in my own, and I work so much more boldly than before. Screen Shot 2014-08-02 at 11.10.28 I suppose bravery pays off a lot of the time! Have you ever felt inspired by Superheroes? Fought for justice, adorned a cape, saved a life, avenged a death? I want to know! 😉
